SUMMARY:New Year\, New Chapter - Who's Coming with You?
DESCRIPTION:A Friendship Audit: Choosing Relationships That Feel Supportive\, Energising\, and Emotionally Safe\n📅 22nd January 2026 (Thursday)\, 7 – 8 pm SGT\n🖥️ Zoom (Link sent upon registration)\n⏱️ 60 minutes\n💝 Complimentary for Prime Midlife members \nYou know that nudge?\nThe one that whispers: Some friendships have grown with me\, while others feel… out of place. \nYou’re not imagining it. Midlife often brings this gentle recalibration. The friendships that once felt effortless may now feel heavy or out of sync. And after years of busyness\, many of us find our social world has become smaller than we expected. \nIf you’ve felt this\, you’re not alone. \nThis session is for anyone who wants their relationships to feel more aligned\, supportive\, energising\, and emotionally safe as we step into a new year. \nWhat We’ll Explore Together\nIn this interactive session\, we’ll dive into: \n\nHow identity shifts in midlife reshape what we look for in friendship – and why that’s completely normal\nSimple ways to recognise which relationships energise us\, and which drain us – without guilt\nHow to reconnect with intention\, rebuild trust\, or let go with grace – practical approaches for real situations\nA hands-on Friendship Audit to help you see where to focus your limited social energy\n\nThis isn’t theory. It’s reflection\, conversation\, and practical steps you can use right away. \nWhat You’ll Walk Away With\n\nGreater clarity on who feels right for your next chapter\nA framework to audit your current relationships\nPermission to honour who you’ve become\nPractical tools to navigate friendship transitions with grace\n\nWho This Is For\n\nAnyone feeling their friendships need recalibration\nMidlifers navigating shifting social circles\nThose wanting to be more intentional about where they invest their energy\nAnyone ready to honour who they’ve become and choose the right companions for the road ahead\n\nAbout Your Guest Speaker\nDesieree Makalew is a psychologist and psychotherapist\, certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II)\, ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP)\, and trained in Gottman Method couples therapy. With over a decade of experience across corporate\, clinical\, and academic settings\, she integrates evidence-based psychology with a neurodivergent-affirming and performance-focused approach. She is a member of the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) and an associate member of the International Society for Coaching Psychology (ISCP). \nCurrently pursuing her PhD in Applied Psychology\, she explores emotion regulation and learning through digital media to bring therapy out of the therapy room. What drives her work is journeying alongside people as they make sense of how their inner world shapes how they show up at work\, in relationships\, and in life\, while providing practical tools to move forward with clarity\, resilience\, and purpose. \nA Personal Note from Desieree\n“This topic sits close to home for me. Three of my close friends will relocate soon\, and while I know change brings both loss and new possibilities\, it’s still hard to face. \nI also met many new people this past year through attended events\, exchanged contacts and yet something still felt missing. Authentic connection is harder to build at this stage of life\, and that realisation is what inspired this session. \nMy hope is that this space can be a safe place for us to pause and look at what connection means now\, and how we can enter the year feeling aligned\, supported\, and surrounded by the people who truly matter.” \nHow to Join\nRegistration is required. SUMMARY:Becoming Unfamiliar: Designing the YOU in 2026
DESCRIPTION:Date: 15th January 2026 \nTime: 7 – 8 pm SGT \nVenue: Zoom (Link sent upon registration) \nComplimentary for Prime Midlife members \n\nYou know that feeling? \nThe one that whispers: I don’t quite recognise myself anymore. And I’m not sure if that’s a crisis… or an invitation. \nYou’re not imagining it. Somewhere after 40 (what we call midlife!) this unsettling awareness often arrives. The identity you built so carefully in your 20s and 30s: the roles\, the routines\, the version of you that “worked”\, you may start to feel a little too tight\, too familiar\, too… not quite the same. \nIf you’ve felt this\, you’re not alone. \nThis masterclass is for anyone who senses there’s more to explore\, not because there’s something wrong with who you’ve been\, but because you’re curious about who else you might become. Maybe someone unfamiliar. Maybe someone waiting to be discovered. \n\nWhat We’ll Explore Together\nIn this interactive session\, we’ll dive into: \n\nWhy staying “familiar” is keeping you stuck and why midlife discomfort is actually your identity asking to evolve\nThe three Identity Prisons that keep us playing old roles long past their expiration date\nThe four permissions you need to become unfamiliar without guilt\, fear\, or apology\nA hands-on Identity Design Canvas to help you prototype the You of 2026 \, not through goals\, but through experiments\n\nThis isn’t theory. It’s reflection\, conversation\, and a practical framework you can start using immediately. \n\nWhat You’ll Walk Away With\n\nGreater clarity on who you’re ready to stop being and who you want to try becoming\nA values recalibration exercise to realign your life with what actually matters to you now\nPermission to disappoint people\, to not have it figured out\, and to want more (or different) at this stage\nThree Identity Experiments you can try to test new versions of yourself\nA downloadable Identity Design Canvas to guide your transformation\n\n\nWho This Is For\n\nAnyone feeling like they’ve outgrown their own identity\nAnyone who is navigating career shifts\, empty nests\, relationship changes\, or simply… restlessness\nThose tired of “self-improvement” who are ready for self-reinvention\nAnyone who wants 2026 to be the year they become someone unfamiliar and exciting!\nPeople ready to design their next chapter instead of waiting for it to happen\n\n\nAbout Your Guest Speaker\nAlice Au is the Founder & CEO of Prime Midlife\, Asia-Pacific’s first integrated platform for midlife transformation. An EMCC-accredited life coach\, Alice specialises in helping professionals aged 40-65 navigate identity transitions with evidence-based tools and authentic community support. \nShe’s walked this path herself. At 40\, facing job losses and divorce papers\, Alice experienced her own “becoming unfamiliar” moment\, one that led her to completely redesign her life and ultimately create Prime Midlife to support others through the same journey. \nAlice believes midlife isn’t a crisis to survive\, but a creative threshold where we get to become who we were always meant to be. \n\nA Personal Note from Alice\n“I’ll be honest…at 40\, becoming unfamiliar wasn’t a choice I made. It was thrust upon me. \nBut looking back now\, that moment of complete disorientation was the most generous thing life could have given me. Because when everything familiar fell away\, I finally had permission to ask: Who do I actually want to be? \nNot who I “should” be. Not who I was trained to be. But who I’m excited to become. \nThis masterclass is born from that question: It’s time to become someone new. \nIf you’ve felt that nudge\, this session is for you. Let’s design the YOU of 2026 together\, someone unfamiliar\, authentic\, and entirely yours.” \n\nHow to Join\n\n\nRegistration is required. Please register here.
